Home Swap Experience: My Barcelona for your Rome

Mar 19th, 2012 - by

coloseum at nightWhat would it be like to swap home and stay in a penthouse in Rome? The answer is incredible. One of our Knok house swap users just came back from a trip in Rome and has shared their travel experience with us. Check out their testimonial:

My girlfriend and I spent a week in an incredible penthouse in the Trastevere in Roma. It had a great terrace on top, from where we could see the roofs of the city and quite a few of the many domes in Rome. Among them, Saint Peter’s! It wasn’t the biggest apartment ever, but we could not have dreamed of a better view. Rome as a city is just special; we would spend the whole day sightseeing and strolling around but would make it a point to enjoy our dinner on the terrace and admire Rome’s landscape from the penthouse view!

And of course, how could we miss out in enjoying the italian ice-cream! No doubt that in every corner you can find a gelateria but we wanted to go the best. And our home swap partners suggest us to go to Giolitti which is known to be one of the oldest gelaterias in Rome (located on Via Uffici del Vicario 40, very close to the Pantheon). The two times we went, it was always very crowded, but it was worth the scoop!
